Use an OpenAI-compatible API with MangaLens
Configure a Base URL, API key, and model for your own OpenAI-compatible translation provider in MangaLens.
Open settings from MangaLens
Choose Settings from the extension popup. In the OpenAI-compatible API section, enter the Base URL supplied by your provider, your API key, and the supported model name.
Keep your key under your control
Your BYOK value is saved in Chrome local storage. MangaLens sends it only to the Base URL that you configure for translation; it is not copied into the MangaLens billing system.
Test on one page first
Start with a single page. Different providers vary in latency and image-text quality, so a short test is the quickest way to find a model that matches your preferred target language.
