What happens to a manga image during translation?

Only the necessary image region
Hosted processing receives the image region needed for text detection, OCR, cleanup, and layout. MangaLens is not designed to index a user's reading history as a content library or build advertising profiles from manga pages.
BYOK credentials
When you configure your own OpenAI-compatible service, the API key stays in Chrome local storage and is sent to the provider Base URL you selected. Review that provider's privacy terms before using it.
Temporary cleanup assets
Generated assets used to render cleaned text areas expire automatically after seven days. You can read the full policy and contact support from the Privacy page.
