A practical workflow for reading untranslated manga online

A reader-first approach to translating raw Japanese manga, Korean manhwa, and Chinese manhua in Chrome.

Choose the language pair before a long chapter

Set the source and target language in MangaLens before you begin. Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and English image text have different reading directions and common layouts, so this selection helps the recognition pipeline make better decisions.

Translate the pages you are reading

For a single image, start with one-page processing. For a two-page spread or a reader showing two images together, choose two-page parallel processing. Progress is shown per page so you can keep reading instead of waiting for an entire chapter.

Treat AI translation as a reading aid

Machine translation is especially useful for access and comprehension. For official terminology, nuanced dialogue, or publication-quality text, compare with authorized editions when they are available.

Read responsibly

MangaLens is for content you are authorized to access. It does not bypass paywalls, DRM, sign-in requirements, or regional restrictions.
